Mukund Nawathe kept what he could. Much more is still in the homes of members: programmes from a Ganeshotsav, a letter from the committee, a photograph from a gathering. If you have something from the Mandal's history, it can be preserved here alongside his papers.

What happens to what you send

Nothing is published automatically. Your submission goes to a private holding area that is not visible on the site. The archive keeper reads it, watermarks it, describes it and only then decides whether it joins the collection.

Contributed items are shown distinctly in the catalogue and carry the words Contributed by MML well-wishers, so the provenance of every item stays clear.

If you would rather an item were not published after all, write and say so. It will be removed.

What makes a good contribution

  • Scan or photograph the whole page, including any handwriting in the margins.
  • A multi-page document can be sent as a single PDF. There is no need to split it.
  • Good light and a flat surface beat an expensive scanner.
  • Tell us what you know, even if you are unsure. “I think this is the 1974 AGM” is far better than leaving it blank.
  • If you recognise somebody in an item already in the collection, that alone is worth sending.
